FAQ: MYRTLE BEACH COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

Accommodations

Where DO PLAYERS stay?

Collegiate League players and coaches will be provided lodging at the River Oaks Resort

International players will stay with host families in Myrtle Beach.

what amenities are included?

Players will enjoy a complimentary membership to the X-Gym for the duration of the Collegiate League programming.

Equipment

Should Players bring their own equipment?

Players are encouraged to bring their own bats, and catchers must bring all of their own equipment.

Once a player is assigned to a team, each team is provided an equipment bag that includes: 

  • Batting Helmets 
  • Coaching Helmets 
  • Team Fungo Bats
  • 3-4 wood composite bats
  • Practice Balls 
  • Game Balls

Should Players bring their own uniforms?

Players will be provided an Under Armour fitted hat, two Under Armour jerseys, a belt, and socks. Players must bring two pairs of their own baseball pants - one white, and one grey. 

Can players wear metal cleats?

Pitchers and catchers cannot wear metal.

All other position players can wear metal cleats.

Will Water be Provided?

Yes. Water and cups will be provided in the dugouts.

Facilities

May I bring my pet?

Pets are not permitted at any complex unless they are necessary for documented medical purposes. Boarding Kennels are located near each complex. 

Are smoking or alcoholic beverages allowed?

No alcohol or tobacco products will be permitted on any of our complexes. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in ejection from the property.

May I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, however we have a strict "leave no trace" trash policy. Concessions will also be available for purchase on site.

Is there seating for Family members and fans?

Yes. Each complex features grass berm seating, as well as picnic tables and bleachers. We also recommend bringing your own blankets and portable chairs.

Will first aid staff be present?

Yes, there will always be a First Aid certified team member on-site to handle routine medical needs.

What will happen in the event of inclement weather?

If the fields are judged unsafe, we will suspend, postpone, reschedule, or cancel games as needed. We will do everything in our power to remain as on-schedule with practice times as we can.

Yes. Each field on our property is equipped to live-stream through our partners at PlaySight.

Parking & Admission

Are there parking fees?

No, parking is free at every Ripken Complex.

Is there handicap accessible parking?

Yes.

Is there transportation from the parking lots to the entrance to the fields?

Yes, golf carts will be provided for those who need assistance.

Are there admission fees?

Admission to all Ripken Experience complexes and fields is free.

Payment plan, Credit, & Refunds

What are the Payment, credit, and Refund Policies?

  • A minimum $500 deposit is due at the time of registration.
  • All monies paid towards the Myrtle Beach Summer Collegiate League are non-refundable.
  • Invoices are required to be paid in full by May 1, 2019.
  • Final balance payments will be auto-billed to the original payment source upon deadlines unless otherwise updated by the account owner.

Does the deposit go toward the final cost?

Yes.
