Ripken Baseball today announced the formation of a new subsidiary, Ironclad Authentics, LLC. The new division will oversee Ripken Baseball’s corporate licensing, including the name and likeness of Cal Ripken, while also managing Cal's signature and developing and operating the new internet on-line retail store – www.ironcladauthentics.com, to be launched this November. Ray Schulte, currently associated with Ripken Baseball, has been appointed to head up this new Ripken Baseball entity. "Ray is considered one of the most knowledgeable and innovative leaders in the industry and was a natural choice for us to lead this new and exciting venture," said Chris Flannery, Chief Operating Officer for Ripken Baseball. "Ray joined Ripken Baseball three years ago and established our endorsement and sponsorship relationships and now we are asking him to tackle a new challenge with Ironclad Authentics. Our business has grown a great deal over the last few years and as it continues to grow we need the right people in place and Ray is someone we believe can make this venture successful."
